Identification
A pure white small millipede (about 10mm long) with well developed paranota and amoured with curved stout body setae.
It could be confused with more widespread Brachychaeteuma melanops, which has less stout setae. A brief description, with figures, is provided by Owen & Gregory (2021).
This appears to be a new species (Jörg Spelda, pers. comm.).
Distribution and Habitat
First found at a site near Newbridge in south Wales by Christian Owen in October 2015, and currently known from three sites in the area (Owen & Gregory, 2021).
