Identification
A medium species, reaching 8 mm in length, Burmoniscus meeusei has a mottled purplish colour and a highly stepped body outline, somewhat similar to a small dark Philoscia muscorum.
Distribution and Habitat
It is only known from heated glasshouses at Kew Gardens, where it has been collected on several occasions.
In 'the wild' it has a very wide distribution in the tropics, including Hawaii, Brazil and Taiwan.
