Identification
This is one of several small Lithobius with projections on tergites 9, 11 and 13 that can be confused with the common L. melanops. The shape of the forcipular teeth is the main distinction from L. melanops.
Distribution and Habitat
It is widely recorded throughout Britain, there are no records for Ireland. This is typically a centipede of rural woodlands.
