Identification
Another bright yellow centipede (to 30 mm) with a darker reddish head, which is differentiated from G. flavus and G. fucorum seurati on subtle (microscopic) characters. However, with 53 - 63 leg pairs some specimens can be identified on basis of leg count (maximum of 57 pairs in latter two species).
Distribution and Habitat
A species most abundant in south-west Britain and Ireland, occurring both on the coast and inland in a wide array of habitats, including gardens.
